Jane Richardson has released her brand new single, “This Time of Year”, a warm and deeply personal tribute to autumn, family, home and the simple rituals that mark the changing season.
Now live on Spotify, with more platforms to follow, “This Time of Year” captures the feeling of long weekends in the bush, time spent in the garden, planting garlic, harvesting pumpkins, preparing for cooler weather and, of course, drinking more cups of tea than usual.
Written by Jane Richardson and her husband, the song reflects the couple’s shared love of the season and the memories that come with it. With its gentle, heartfelt tone, “This Time of Year” feels like a musical snapshot of autumn: earthy, nostalgic and full of quiet joy.
The track was produced by Phil Tweed, whose production helps bring out the warmth and intimacy of the song while allowing Jane’s personal storytelling to sit at the centre.
